Pet/Special Items: A goldfish named Chéri. She's had her since she was a little kid and suspects she's in league with the government. To clear everything up, the goldfish is perfectly normal, but don't tell Marisa that.
She also has a really simple necklace, a blue, circular pendant. It doesn't really hold any meaning, she just really loves it.
Student Bio: 
Marisa has always been home schooled, so until now she really hasn't had any experience with real people. Instead, for fourteen years, she drowned herself in books. She's a total bookworm and will read anything she can get her hands on, from Harry Potter to the ingredient list on the back of a cereal box. For this reason, she wants- no, expects- her life to be almost like a romance novel or a shoujo manga. It was the only thing she was ever exposed to, so she doesn't expect anything less. 

Since she was younger, Marisa's mother has always been a very impulsive person. She spent her days home schooling Marisa until the company she used to work for called her; an opening for what Mrs. Donovan had always considered her dream job had just opened up and they wanted her to take it. Within a week they were packed up and heading for New York. Her father managed to get his job to transfer him there as well, so he wasn't out of a job. However, this left no one to continue Marisa's education. They went ahead and enrolled her in a private school, the World Academy.

Obviously, Marisa was ecstatic. Here she was, suddenly moving to bustling New York, and days later to a mysterious private school no one knew the location of! She's pretty positive something big's going to happen. And maybe if she doesn't discover her ultimate powers or uncover a government plot (perhaps being run by her goldfish), she might fall in love.

Personality: Marisa is an.. interesting person. Her only influences have been her parents and book characters, so she often changes quickly. She's the kind of girl who'll yell "I won't take no for an answer!" and give up five minutes later. She's never one to turn down adventure or a request in the situation that it leads her to her 'destiny.' She's not very big on television, preferring to read a book, manga or comic instead, though she does admit the explosions are much better on TV than in her head. She's a hopeless romantic; every time someone turns the corner she straightens her shoulders, every time they disappear from sight she lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She prefers girls and will most likely have a crush on one in the near future, but she's not picky. She can be the kind to force friendship or wait for you to talk to her, it all depends on whatever book she's read most recently.

Her favorite subject is English with History at a close second, and she dislikes any kind of math. She doesn't know which teachers she'll get along best with yet, but she aims to have good relations with all but one for 'comedic effect.' On that note, maybe she should just write a book about how her life is supposed to be..
